I have been tagged by my by dear friend Kokila, to take part in Five Photos Five Stories Challenge (FPFS) which is – post a picture for 5 consecutive days and attach a post to it – fiction, poem or a short write-up. It can be anything to suit your taste. I am tagging my fellow blogger and friend, Santosh on Day Two and as a part of the challenge, I will tag a new person everyday, until Day Five.
A Haiku is a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five; traditionally evoking images of the natural world.
The above is a poem of 3 Haikus.
Very powerful description. No wonder she is a strong alter ego of Shiva.
An amazing alter ego at that… thanks Sweety 🙂 Happy to have you over at Drishti.. do keep visiting us often… 🙂
Lovely haiku. Apt description of the Goddess.
Thanks much Kiran, for stopping by… very happy that you liked it… 🙂
I savored the words of this Haiku, like one savors a good wine… one sip at a time. Great job. Lovely. LIKE!
Wow… thank you for such lovely words Saikat 🙂 am honoured. Do read the one on Shiva… you may like that too. Am doing a small series for the FPFS challenge, would love to hear what you think 🙂
Power packed indeed!!
Thank you so much Amitji 🙂 happy you found it powerful!
nice post……..
Welcome to Drishti Harshita, hope to see you here often. Thank you 🙂
Great haikus. One thing that I didn’t like personally is the use of word “archangelic.” Archangel is a Hebrew concept. Angels aren’t God but a kind of messenger. Gabriel, Michael, Raphael are archangels. On the other hand, Shakti is Goddess equivalent to God. In fact, Shakti is the energy of Shiva. Without Shakti, Shiva is Shav (Dead).
But if the word “archangelic” is derived from the word “Archana” then it is fully justified. 😉
God Ravish, I can’t believe that you said this… I had this same discussion with my husband Desh… telling him that I hope it doesn’t sound too Christian (no offence intended but that’s the word I used instead of Hebrew :p) and not Indian/ Hindu… but the word also means, kind, sweet, beautiful, celestial and virtuous and hence I decided to use it…since the meanings of the word were the exact adjectives I wanted to use, in brief (you know difficult it is to write a powerful Haiku in a few words)… hence the choice. But ofcourse you are also right… it stems from Archana…. 🙂
Thank you for your feedback and the appreciation Ravish.. I hope you like the one I present tomorrow, and I will be careful in my choice of words too 🙂 Cheers buddy!
Powerful and elegant! 🙂
I loved this challenge too – gave me something to work on for five days 😀
Hey Teny, welcome to Drishti… at last we see you here 🙂 Yep, am enjoying the challenge too especially after I decided to work on a theme! 🙂 Thanks for your heartfelt words buddy! 🙂
Yes, my internet just improved in speed 🙂 Usually it is the internet itself that challenges me 😀
aha… cool 🙂 happy the net is working well now… :p good for all of us 🙂
Yes, but still it is like, now you have the speed, and then you don’t 😀
hmm 🙂 well, let’s hope it catches good speed 🙂
Epitome of all encompassing Power! Beautifully presented!
Thank you Deepk, happy you liked this one too… 🙂
Beautifully written ma’am. You inspire me to write Haiku. But still I’m confused with it. Yet you’ve written it nicely 🙂
Thank you Depanjan. Don’t be confused, I’ll help you understand and write one. 🙂
Wow Archana. Perfect use of words. Your haikus are just wonderful dear. Love to read them 🙂
Thank you so much Purba. Your words encourage me to write more Haikus. 🙂
Powerful description of the archetypal feminine entity….Shakti…
Happy you liked it Mani. Was looking forward to your feedback. 🙂
You have chosen a wonderful theme, Archana.. making me go back to our Gods 🙂
Thanks so much, my dear Roohi. Happy that you liked my theme, and hope you like the ones to come. 🙂
PS – Are you really going back to our Gods, or are they already part of you? 😉
Wonderfully written Archana 🙂 Powerful!

‘Sarab Shakti, Namo Namah’
